Elegant Bayfront

A whole-house renovation in the Bloomingdale Historic District of Washington transformed this much altered and poorly modified Victorian into a gracious family home. Original details were restored throughout the house, enhanced by the addition of built-in cabinetry and custom trim profiles. Through thoughtful modifications to the floor plan, a gracious and bright kitchen facing the back garden was created, connecting to the elegant coffered-ceiling dining and living rooms through a new, large cased opening. The transformed primary bedroom features a vaulted ceiling with centralized skylights.
